(Re)Starting this

I started a blog last year. It was my first blog post and my last one. I had mentioned I wanted to keep this going, but just never did. I wanted to create a blog that is loosely based on design.

With that being said. I am going to talk about what I have been doing the last couple of months, the process'/s of getting to this point, and what I hope the future holds.

I started building this website in early 2020. It was a two-fold idea. 1) to display my work and 2) to hopefully start my own design firm/freelance/become my own boss.

The 2nd point was always the end goal, but I never felt like I had the push I needed to pursue my own dream. The skills I have, I am confident in. However, I lack so many skills on the business side, Salesman side, and much more. I am slowly figuring out a game plan, but its a slow process. I want to just jump in and not worry about those things, but my nature is to know all I can before I take that 1st step. Which I find useful, but it can also be my biggest hindrance.

I received news a in May that my job could be in jeopardy. In June, I received my notice that July 9th would be/was my last day. I am taking it as a push. A blessing in disguise. Sink or swim, Live or die. There are many unknowns in doing this. How will I get clients? How will I earn money? How will I provide for my family? I have good skills, great experience, and to waste them, in my opinion, would be foolish. I am confident I can succeed and this is the right push.
